Connect with the SECND Chrome Extension

Use the passwordless Chrome extension to connect Poshmark, Depop, Grailed, and Facebook Marketplace — without giving SECND your password.

TL;DR

Install the SECND Chrome extension, sign in to Poshmark / Depop / Grailed / Facebook Marketplace as usual in Chrome, then click Connect on the SECND Marketplaces page. The extension passes your existing session to SECND so you never share your marketplace password.

When to use the extension

Use the Chrome extension for marketplaces that don't support a public OAuth API:

  • Poshmark
  • Depop
  • Grailed
  • Facebook Marketplace

For Shopify, eBay, Etsy, Square, and Lightspeed, you can connect directly from the SECND Connect page using their official OAuth flows — no extension required.

Heads up

The extension only works in Google Chrome on a desktop (Mac or Windows). It isn't available on mobile browsers or other desktop browsers.

How it works

When you sign in to (say) Poshmark in Chrome, Poshmark sets a session cookie in your browser. The SECND extension reads that cookie and shares it with SECND's servers. From that point on, SECND authenticates to Poshmark as you using the same session Poshmark already trusts — without ever seeing your password.

Sessions expire on each marketplace's normal schedule (Poshmark is about 30 days). When the session expires, SECND prompts you to sign in again in Chrome and click Connect; the extension picks up the new session.

Install the extension

Open the Chrome Web Store listing

From the Marketplaces page in SECND, click Install extensionon the purple banner. SECND opens the SECND extension in the Chrome Web Store. If you'd rather go directly, search for "SECND" in the Chrome Web Store.

Add it to Chrome

Click Add to Chrome, then confirm the prompt that lists the extension's permissions. Chrome installs and enables it in a few seconds.

Pin the extension (optional)

Click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar, find SECND, then click the pin. The icon now appears in your toolbar so you can quickly check connection status.

Connect a marketplace

Sign in to the marketplace in Chrome

Open a new tab and sign in to Poshmark (or Depop, Grailed, Facebook Marketplace) the way you normally would — username + password, social login, whatever you use today.

Return to the SECND Marketplaces page

Open SECND → Marketplaces (or click Connect in the sidebar). The marketplace you signed into now shows a Connect button instead of the install-extension prompt.

Click Connect

SECND captures the session from the extension and verifies it against the marketplace. Within a few seconds the tile flips to Connected and SECND begins importing your listings.

Good to know

Same pattern for every extension-only marketplace: sign in in Chrome, come back to the Marketplaces page, click Connect. You don't need to install the extension again for each one.

What runs where

The extension is used only for the initial connection. Once SECND has your session it runs entirely in the cloud — your computer and the extension don't need to stay open. Imports, cross-listings, delists, and automations all happen on SECND's servers.

You only need to open Chrome again when SECND prompts you to reconnect, which usually means a marketplace expired your session.
