Our Motivation
Fashion is the second-most water consuming industry. It is responsible for up to 10% of global carbon emissions. Most clothing is exported for sorting, causing Canadian waste to end up abroad.We built Secnd as a means to reduce the impact of the fashion industry, working towards more responsible consumption and production.
Our Story
Motivated by our passion for sustainable fashion, Secnd was created in 2023. We saw a huge potential in the thrifting industry, where a lack of automation and innovation was inhibiting growth.
By surveying consumers and industry partners, we discovered what was wrong with the current system and got to work.
